The Twisting

When Isolde took up residence in the Boneyard it became clear that the introduction of a being of near god-like power and one of pure good, into a realm of total neutrality has had reality distorting effects. Within the area that was granted for use by Isolde, those souls who spend time there start to warp and reshape so that their outside bodies reflect some core aspect of who they are on the inside.

The closer the contact or the longer a soul is in the area the more likely it is that the twisting will take hold. It is possible to escape unscathed but only if one leaves the area soon after entering. To that end she tries to personally isolate herself in her vardo avoiding direct contact with any of the souls she is testing.
